What we collect when you use this website or request a room, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Last updated 3 August 2026. American Inn & Suites, 6358 Old Dixie Hwy, Jonesboro, GA 30236. Privacy questions: (770) 305-0300 or americaninn.ga@gmail.com.
Who we are
This website is operated by American Inn & Suites, an independently owned motel at 6358 Old Dixie Highway, Jonesboro, Georgia 30236. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean American Inn & Suites. It covers this website and the room requests made through it.
The short version
- We collect what we need to hold a room and call you back — nothing more.
- No card details are taken through this website. You pay at the front desk.
- We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising.
- You can ask us what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
Information you give us
When you send a room request we ask for what is needed to hold a room and get back to you:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address, if you choose to give one
- Arrival and departure dates, number of guests and room preference
- Anything you write in the notes field
We use this to check availability, contact you about your request, and hold the room. If you call the front desk instead, we take the same details verbally.
We do not take payment through this website. No card number is requested, collected or stored online. Payment is made in person at the front desk when you arrive.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting and security systems record standard technical information when you visit — IP address, browser and device type, the pages viewed and the time of the visit. This keeps the site running, helps diagnose faults, and protects against abuse and automated attacks.
Tracking and analytics
We want to be specific rather than vague about this, because most privacy policies are not.
If any analytics or advertising tool is added to this website in future, this section will be updated at the same time.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Broadly they fall into these categories:
- Essential. Needed for the site to work — caching, security, and keeping a form entry as you complete it. These cannot reasonably be turned off without breaking the site.
- Functional. Remember preferences so the site behaves consistently.
- Analytics. Measure how the site is used. See the tracking section above for whether any are in use here.
- Marketing. Used to target advertising. See the tracking section above.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.
Service providers
We use third parties to run this website and its email. They process information on our instructions and for no other purpose. They include:
- Web hosting. Stores the website and its data, and keeps server logs.
- Email delivery. Sends room-request notifications to the front desk and any reply to you.
- Form software. Collects and stores the room requests submitted through this site.
- Google. Supplies the embedded map and the web fonts used on these pages.
Embedded content and Google services
Some pages embed a Google Map, and the site loads fonts from Google. When these load, your browser contacts Google directly and Google may collect information about that request under its own privacy policy. We have no access to and no control over that data.
Where we link to third-party sites — travel booking sites, review sites, nearby businesses — those sites have their own privacy policies covering anything you do there.
How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as there is a reason to:
- Room requests that did not become a stay — kept while we deal with the enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted.
- Records of an actual stay — kept for the period required for accounting, tax and legal purposes.
- Email correspondence — kept while relevant to your stay or enquiry.
- Technical and security logs — kept for a short period and then overwritten.
Who we share information with
We share personal information only where necessary:
- With the service providers listed above, acting on our instructions
- Where required by law, or in response to a valid legal request
- Where necessary to protect the safety of guests, staff or the property
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
If you booked through a third-party travel site rather than with us directly, that company has its own privacy policy covering the information you gave them, and it decides what to pass on to us.
Text messages
If you give us a mobile number on a room request, the front desk may text you to confirm availability or your booking, because that is often faster than a call. We do not send marketing texts from a room request, and you can ask the desk to call instead.
Your choices and how to exercise them
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete information, where we are not required to keep it
- Stop contacting you, other than about a booking you have made
Call the front desk on (770) 305-0300 or email americaninn.ga@gmail.com. We will acknowledge the request promptly and deal with it as quickly as we reasonably can. We may need to confirm your identity first, to make sure we are not giving a guest’s details to someone else.
Children
This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from children through it. Reservations are made by adults, and every registered guest must present valid government-issued photo ID at check-in.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted connection. Access to guest information is restricted to staff who need it, and the systems holding it are password-protected. No website or system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not send card numbers or other sensitive details through the request form or by email.
If something goes wrong
If a security incident affecting personal information occurred and notification were required by law, we would notify affected individuals and the relevant authorities as the law directs, and tell you what happened and what to do about it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, including when we change the tools this website uses. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
