How it works
A week here is not seven nights at the nightly rate
The nightly rate is what you pay for a night or two. Stay seven nights or longer and the front desk quotes a weekly rate instead; stay 28 nights or longer and there is a monthly rate. Neither is published, and there is a reason for that — the figure depends on the room type, the time of year and the length of the stay, and a headline number that turns out not to apply to your situation is worse than no number at all. Call and you get a real one.
What you get is straightforward. You keep the same room for the whole stay, so nothing is packed up and moved every seven days. You settle at the front desk each week rather than paying the whole period up front. There is no lease, no credit check, no notice period and no deposit on a property to chase at the end. If your plans change, you tell the desk.
That combination is why most of our long-stay guests are here rather than in a short-term rental. A rental wants a term commitment and a deposit before you have seen the place. This is a room you can extend a week at a time.

Who stays by the week
The people this actually suits
Contractors and work crews
Clayton County runs on freight and construction, and jobs here run in weeks rather than days. With 90+ rooms the desk can usually place a whole crew together at short notice, and there is a crew rate worth asking about on the phone.
Travelling healthcare staff
Southern Regional Medical Center is just over a mile up Upper Riverdale Road. Thirteen-week contracts are the norm in that work, and a non-smoking room on a monthly rate with enforced quiet hours is a workable base for one.
People between places
A lease that ended before the next one starts, a purchase that slipped, a move that has not completed. Somewhere real to sleep for a month without signing anything.
Relocating to Atlanta
New job, no permanent address yet, a fortnight or two to find one. Being a mile from I-75 Exit 235 makes viewing places across the south side straightforward.
Drivers on a regional run
If a route keeps you in the Atlanta area for weeks, a weekly rate beats a different motel every night. The desk is staffed 24 hours, so shift patterns are irrelevant. More for drivers and crews →
Families in a gap
Insurance work, a repair that overran, a move that needs bridging. The double rooms sleep four on the same weekly terms as a king sleeps two.
Living in the room
What a long stay is actually like here
Every room has free WiFi with no login page and no device limit, a flat-screen TV with cable, air conditioning you set yourself, a mini-fridge, a microwave and a private bathroom with towels changed daily. On a one-night stay the fridge and microwave are a convenience. On a five-week stay they are most of how you eat.
Rooms are serviced daily. If you are working nights and sleeping days — which a good share of our long-stay guests are — tell the front desk and they will skip your room and leave fresh towels rather than knocking. Quiet hours run 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM and are enforced, which is the policy that makes day sleeping possible at all.
Extra towels and fresh linen come from the desk at any hour. Parking is free, on the lot by the rooms and lit through the night. The front desk never closes, so there is no arrival window to work around when a shift finishes late, and extending another week is a conversation rather than a new booking.

What you are actually living in

Being straight with you
What this is not
This is a motel room on a weekly rate, not an apartment. Worth knowing exactly what that means before booking several weeks of it.
- There is no kitchen. A mini-fridge and a microwave, but no hob, no oven and no sink outside the bathroom.
- There is no guest laundry on site. There are 24-hour laundromats within two miles — details below.
- There is no restaurant, bar or breakfast. Complimentary coffee at the front desk 7:00 to 11:00 AM, and delivery drivers are welcome to bring food to your door or the desk.
- Rooms are serviced daily unless you ask otherwise. This is a hotel room, not private accommodation.
- All house policies apply for the whole stay: photo ID at check-in, quiet hours, visitors registering at the desk.
Solving the two gaps
Laundry and cooking, in practice
Where guests do laundry
- Shree Coin Laundry on Tara Boulevard, about a mile and three quarters south and open 24 hours — the usual choice, and the 24-hour opening suits night shifts
- The Mat Laundry on Jonesboro Road, also open 24 hours, a little over three miles away
- Wash Away Coin Laundry on North Main Street, open 7:30am to 9pm
Eating without a kitchen
- La Morena Supermarket on Tara Boulevard, a little over half a mile away and open until 9pm every day — the closest full grocery shop and where most weekly guests do their shop
- The mini-fridge and microwave handle most of the rest; guests on long stays tend to cook in batches
- Delivery is welcome to your room door or the front desk
- a 24-hour Waffle House about a hundred yards up the road, for the nights nobody wants to cook
Need a room tonight?

Weighing it up
A weekly room against a short-term rental
A weekly room here
- No lease, no credit check, no property deposit
- Settle weekly at the desk — extend or leave as you need
- Rooms serviced daily, towels changed
- Someone at the desk 24 hours if something goes wrong
- Free parking on site, lit through the night
- Can usually take a whole crew at short notice
A short-term rental
- Usually a term commitment and a deposit up front
- Often a minimum stay you cannot shorten
- Cleaning is yours, or an extra fee
- No one on site out of hours
- Parking varies and is sometimes not included
- Booking several units together is rarely possible
A rental wins on space and on having a kitchen. This wins on flexibility, on cost for one or two people, and on being able to arrive tonight.

Where you will actually go during a long stay
Guests here for weeks use the same handful of places. All within about two miles.
- La Morena Supermarket on Tara Boulevard, a little over half a mile away and open until 9pm every day
- Drugbuddies Pharmacy on Tara Boulevard, about a quarter of a mile away, with a Walgreens pharmacy about three miles south on Tara Boulevard if you need a larger one
- a 24-hour Waffle House about a hundred yards up the road
- a 24-hour Marathon station on Old Dixie Highway, about half a mile north for fuel at any hour
- Taste of Tara, a breakfast and brunch room on Tara Boulevard about half a mile south for breakfast that is not from a microwave
Southern Regional Medical Center is just over a mile, Southlake Mall in Morrow about two, Clayton State University about four, downtown Atlanta about fifteen. I-75 Exit 235 is less than a mile north.
Questions
About weekly and monthly stays
How long is a weekly stay?
Seven nights or longer. Monthly rates start at 28 nights. Anything shorter is charged at the nightly rate.
What does a week cost?
Weekly and monthly rates are quoted by phone rather than published, because the number depends on the room type, the season and how long you are staying. Call (770) 305-0300 and you will get a real figure for your dates.
Do I keep the same room the whole time?
Yes. You are not moved between rooms mid-stay, so nothing has to be packed up and shifted every seven days.
Is there a lease or a contract?
No. You settle at the front desk each week. Nothing to sign, no credit check, no notice period and no deposit on a property.
Is there a kitchen in the room?
No. Every room has a mini-fridge and a microwave, but there is no hob, no oven and no sink beyond the bathroom. Most long-stay guests shop at the supermarket on Tara Boulevard and cook in the microwave.
Where is the nearest laundromat?
There is no guest laundry at the property. Shree Coin Laundry on Tara Boulevard is about a mile and three quarters south and open 24 hours, which suits guests working nights. The Mat Laundry on Jonesboro Road is also open around the clock.
Is housekeeping included on a long stay?
Rooms are serviced daily with fresh towels. If you work nights and would rather not be disturbed, tell the desk and they will skip your room and leave towels instead.
Can I get extra towels or fresh linen?
Yes, from the front desk at any hour. On a long stay just ask.
Can a whole crew stay together?
Usually. With 90+ rooms the desk can normally place a crew in adjacent rooms at short notice. Ask about a crew rate when you call.
Can I have post or packages delivered?
Ask the front desk. For a stay of several weeks they will tell you what works and what the limits are.
What do I need to check in?
A valid government-issued photo ID for the guest named on the room, at every check-in. A refundable deposit may apply depending on the length of stay and how you are paying.
Can I extend my stay?
Yes. Tell the desk before the week ends and they will carry you on at the weekly rate. That flexibility is most of the point.
Do pets change the arrangement?
Pet rooms are available on weekly and monthly terms like any other room. Call before booking so the desk can confirm size limits and the pet fee.
Which room should I take for a long stay?
A king if there are one or two of you and you want the floor space; a double if there are more of you or you are sharing to split the cost. Talk it through with the desk when you call for a rate.
