The distance
A short drive from Lake City, on the highway
Lake City is small — a couple of square miles on Jonesboro Road between Morrow and Forest Park — and it does not have much in the way of places to stay. Visitors with business there generally end up on the Old Dixie Highway corridor, which is where we are, south-west along the corridor. It is a short, straightforward drive with no interstate involved.
The property is at 6358 Old Dixie Highway in Jonesboro. On this stretch Old Dixie Highway is US 19/41 — the route that carried traffic south long before the interstate did, and which becomes Tara Boulevard heading further down. I-75 Exit 235 is less than a mile north of the front desk, so whichever direction you are coming from, you are on and off the highway quickly.

Things to Do Near Lake City, GA
Lake City is small — under two square miles, incorporated in 1951, and named for a lake that once sat on the town site and has since been filled in. Alongside the community park there is Willie Oswalt Park on Jonesboro Road, which has a pavilion looking over the water, and the Lake City Community Center, a hall of nearly 5,000 square feet used for weddings, reunions and city meetings. For a fuller day out, the town is bordered by Morrow to the south and Forest Park to the west and north.
Lake City Community Park
On Phillips Drive, with a playground and paved walking trails. It is the main green space inside the city limits and the one most guests staying this way actually use — a straightforward place to stretch your legs rather than a day out.
