The distance
On the highway, west of Stockbridge
Stockbridge sits east of us across the county line in Henry County. It is a different market — newer, more suburban, and priced accordingly — and crews working there quite often stay on the Clayton side and drive across. The drive across takes a little longer than staying in town, and the difference in what you pay for a week tends to be worth it.
The property is at 6358 Old Dixie Highway in Jonesboro. On this stretch Old Dixie Highway is US 19/41 — the route that carried traffic south long before the interstate did, and which becomes Tara Boulevard heading further down. I-75 Exit 235 is less than a mile north of the front desk, so whichever direction you are coming from, you are on and off the highway quickly.

Things to Do Near Stockbridge, GA
Stockbridge is over the county line in Henry County, east of the property. It has the best state park in this direction and an events calendar that draws people in from across the south side.
Panola Mountain State Park
A 100-acre granite outcrop on Highway 155, similar to Stone Mountain but smaller and far less developed, and designated a National Natural Landmark. It is the crown jewel of the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area, one of only three in Georgia. There is a paved trail for cycling and dog walking, forested fitness trails for hiking, fishing at Alexander Lake, a playground, and programmes covering archery, geocaching, orienteering, birding and tree climbing. Ranger-led hikes onto the outcrop itself need booking ahead.
Stockbridge Amphitheater
Officially the VyStar Amphitheater at The Bridge, with seating for more than 3,600. It anchors the town’s events calendar — BridgeFest and Tasty Tuesdays are the ones people travel in for — and it is the single most common reason guests book this way on a weekend.
J.P. Moseley Park
Home to a disc golf course, and one of the points of interest Henry County lists for the town. Worth knowing if you are travelling with discs or want a couple of unhurried hours outdoors that is not a walk in a park.
Memorial Park
A family park in Stockbridge with playgrounds and open ground, the straightforward option if you are travelling with children and want somewhere to let them run before the drive home.
