Guides to staying in Jonesboro and Clayton County

Practical writing about the things guests actually ring the front desk to ask — race weekends, weekly rates, and getting around the corridor.

Seasonal right now

Race season

Rooms across Clayton and Henry County fill on race weekends at Atlanta Motor Speedway, now officially EchoPark Speedway. If your dates fall on one, the race guide is the place to start.

Booking window: two to three months ahead is comfortable. The week before is where people end up driving in from an hour away.

Most asked

The questions the desk gets most

Do I pay when I book?

No. Reserve online or by phone and pay at the front desk when you arrive, cash or card. No card is taken to hold a standard reservation.

How far is the Speedway?

About seventeen miles south, a straight run down US 19/41. Allow considerably longer on a race day.

How many nights before a weekly rate applies?

Seven. Monthly rates start at 28 nights. Both are quoted by the front desk rather than published.

Can I check in in the middle of the night?

Yes. The front desk is staffed 24 hours a day, every day. Rooms are held until 8:00 PM unless you call to say you will be later.

Is parking free?

Yes, free surface parking on the lot beside the rooms, lit through the night. There are no tractor-trailer bays, so call ahead about anything larger than a van.

Can a whole crew stay together?

Usually. With 90+ rooms the desk can normally place a crew in adjoining rooms at short notice. Ask for a crew rate on the phone.
