One road from the door to the gate
Old Dixie Highway at this address is US 19/41. It becomes Tara Boulevard a little south of us and runs straight down through Clayton County into Henry County and Hampton, where Atlanta Motor Speedway — now officially EchoPark Speedway, though most people still use the old name — sits. There is no interstate leg and no complicated routing — you turn out of the car park and stay on the same road for about seventeen miles.
On a race day the drive takes considerably longer, because the traffic heading for the track routes along Tara Boulevard and Jonesboro Road, which is the road the property is on. The upside of that is you are already on the route rather than trying to join it.
Staying up the corridor puts you on one road to the track, with free parking and a desk that never closes.

What to expect, and when to book
Book earlier than you think
Race weekends fill rooms across both counties, not just near the track. We are usually available longer than properties in Hampton, but the weeks either side of a race are the wrong time to leave it late.
Call rather than click for a group
With 90+ rooms the desk can normally place a group together at short notice, which a small property cannot. Ask for adjoining rooms on the phone — that is not something a form can arrange.
Four to a room
Double rooms have two double beds and sleep up to four on one room rate. For a group splitting costs, that is where the saving actually comes from.
Know the traffic plan before you go
Race traffic is directed by approach. Northbound 19/41 traffic — which is the direction you will be coming from here — enters via Lower Woolsey Road or the main entrance, and is parked accordingly. The plan changes between events, so check the Speedway’s directions page the night before, and 511 Georgia on the morning.
Late arrivals are fine
Racing finishes when it finishes. The front desk is staffed 24 hours, so getting back at midnight is not a problem, and a 24-hour Waffle House sits a hundred yards up the road.
Trailers and larger vehicles
Parking is free and on the lot beside the rooms. There are no tractor-trailer bays here, so call the desk before you arrive if you are towing and they will tell you plainly whether it works.

Getting a race weekend right
The mistake people make with Atlanta Motor Speedway is treating accommodation as a late decision. Rooms do not just fill in Hampton; they fill across Henry County and well into Clayton, Seventeen miles out is the standard answer to that, and it works because the drive is one road with no interstate leg.
On the drive itself: US 19/41 runs from our car park to Hampton without a turn worth mentioning. Old Dixie Highway becomes Tara Boulevard a short way south of us and carries on down. On a race day it takes considerably longer, and the reason is worth knowing — a good share of the traffic heading to the track routes along Tara Boulevard and Jonesboro Road, which is the road the property is on. You are already on the route rather than trying to merge into it, which is a small advantage but a real one.
For groups, call rather than filling in a form. With 90+ rooms the front desk can normally put a group in adjoining rooms, but that is a conversation with a person looking at a chart, not something a request form can arrange. Double rooms sleep up to four on one room rate, so a group of eight is often two rooms rather than four, and that is usually where the money is saved rather than in the nightly rate itself.
Trailers and haulers need a phone call before you set off. Parking here is free surface parking sized for cars, pickups, vans and crew vehicles. It is not a truck stop — there are no tractor-trailer bays, no fuel island and nothing built for a rig. The nearest full truck stop is roughly ten miles north.
